Srinagar, March 17 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has said that the Modi-led fascist Indian regime has snatched every right including right to life of the Kashmiris as extra-judicial killings, arbitrary detentions and torture by Indian troops have become a routine matter in the territory.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the APHC leaders including Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori, Syed Bashir Andrabi, Firdous Ahmed Shah and Dr Musaib in their separate statements in Srinagar said the Kashmiris’ lives, dignity and freedom are at the mercy of brutal Indian troops. They pointed out that human rights violations in IIOJK have increased to an alarming proportion since Narendra Modi-led fascist Indian government illegally and unilaterally repealed the special status of the territory in August 2019. The APHC leaders urged the international community to hold the Modi regime accountable for its brutalities in IIOJK.

Meanwhile, posters carrying the Pakistani flag and pictures of Pakistan Army Chief, General Syed Asim Munir, again appeared in Srinagar and other areas of the occupied territory praising Pakistan for its continued support to the Kashmiris’ freedom struggle. The posters were pasted by pro-freedom organizations on walls, pillars and poles. The posters were also shared on social media platforms including facebook and twitter.

Peoples Democratic Party chief, Mehbooba Mufti, talking to media persons in Jammu expressed concern over the difficulties the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir are facing following Narendra Modi-led Hindutva Indian government’s illegal actions of 5 August 2019.

National Conference Vice President, Omar Abdullah, talking to reporters at Aarigam Khansaheb in Budgam demanded release of all political prisoners, including former member of so-called Kashmir Assembly, Engineer Rashid, and repeal of draconian law Public Safety Act.

On the other hand, the Amnesty International officials, including Ms Astrid Laich, Ben Smith and Bridget Caddell, addressing a news conference in Birmingham along with President of Tehreek-e-Kashmir, UK, Fahim Kiyani, expressed concern over the demolition of houses and other human rights violations by Indian troops in occupied Jammu and Kashmir. They said the ongoing demolitions appear to be an extension of the brutal human rights violations Jammu and Kashmir, the Muslim majority territory, has historically witnessed.
