Srinagar, December 21 (KMS): Incarcerated Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Masarrat Aalam Butt, has deplored the criminal silence of the international community over the all-out war waged by the fascist India against the innocent people in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Masarrat Aalam Butt in a message sent from New Delhi’s infamous Tihar jail condemned the confiscation of the residence of the iconic Kashmiri resistance leader, Shaheed Syed Ali Gilani, and hundreds of properties belonging to Jamaat-I-Islami by the Indian authorities. He urged the Islamic republic of Pakistan to approach, being a legal party to the Kashmir dispute, the UN Secretary General and ask him to force India to stop crimes against humanity in IIOJK.

Meanwhile, people staged forceful protest demonstrations against the anti-people policies of the authorities. Rural health workers and helpers from various districts of the Kashmir Valley assembled at Press Enclave in Srinagar and staged a big protest rally against the newly-launched policy of depriving the local employees from their jobs on one pretext or another. The workers said that they were being shown the door without pension benefits.

Jammu-based National Conference leader, Rattan Lal Gupta, has said that Bharatiya Janata Party has failed to fulfill the promises made with the locals. He said that the condition of the people has become worse due to hollow promises made by the Modi regime. Congress leader Ghulam Ahmad Mir, addressing delegates’ convention in Kokernag area of Islamabad district criticized New Delhi for rising unemployment and lack of development in the territory.

Speakers at a briefing in Istanbul have said the gravity of the situation in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir warrants immediate attention of the world for the sake of international peace and security. A Kashmiri delegation apprised the members of Istanbul-based NGO ASSAM about the grim human rights situation in IIOJK. The Kashmiri delegation included Dr Ghulam Nabi Mir, Dr Mubeen Shah and Dr Ghulam Nabi Fai. KMS
