Indian dreaded Agency attaches property of Hurriyat activist in Baramulla district

1. Incarcerated senior leader of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Shabbir Ahmed Shah, has deplored that Narendra Modi-led fascist Indian government has declared a full-fledged war against the oppressed people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir to punish them for challenging its illegal hold on their homeland.

2. Shabbir Ahmed Shah in a message from New Delhi’s Tihar Jail said that the Modi regime has turned IIOJK into a military garrison where Indian troops were perpetrating the worst human rights violations including extrajudicial killings, fake encounters, torture, arbitrary arrests and molestation of women in the occupied territory to intimidate the Kashmiris into submission. He strongly denounced the custodial killing of a civilian, Abdul Rashid Dar, of Kunanposhpora area of Kupwara district by the Indian Army. Shabbir Ahmed Shah urged the international community to hold India accountable for its brutalities on innocent people of Jammu and Kashmir.

3. India’s dreaded National Investigation Agency attached, today, the ancestral house of another freedom activist, Basit Ahmad Reshi, in Sopore area of Baramulla district. Basit Reshi has been actively resisting India’s illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir for the past several years. The NIA also attached the ancestral house of prominent liberation leader, Mushtaq Ahmed Zargar, in Nowhatta area of Srinagar, yesterday. Pertinently, Indian authorities are confiscating the properties of Hurriyat leaders, activists and organizations to punish and victimize them for their affiliation with and role in the ongoing freedom movement.

4. Posters that appeared in Srinagar and other areas of the Kashmir Valley said that holding of meetings of G-20 in the UN-designated disputed Jammu and Kashmir by India is a sacrilege of blood and sentiments of the people of the occupied territory. India, which holds the presidency of the G-20 for the year 2023, has announced to hold different meetings of the grouping in IIOJK. The move is aimed at misleading the world about the ground situation in the territory. The posters displayed by pro-freedom organizations urged the United Nations to resolve the Kashmir dispute on the basis of right to self-determination, pledged to the Kashmiris in its resolution passed on 5th January 1949.
