Kashmir Solidarity day to be Observed tomorrow

• APHC leaders hail Pakistan’s all-out support to Kashmir cause
• World urged to help Kashmiris achieve their right to self-determination

Srinagar, February 04 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, All Parties Hurriyat Conference leaders have expressed profound gratitude to the government and people of Pakistan for their continued support to the Kashmiris’ just struggle for securing their right to self-determination.

According to Kashmir Media Service, illegally detained senior APHC leader, Nayeem Ahmed Khan, in a message for New Delhi’s infamous Tihar Jail said that observance of Kashmir Solidarity Day on February 05, every year, by Pakistan amply demonstrated its consistent policy, unwavering commitment and allegiance towards the cause of Kashmir. He expressed the hope that Pakistan will continue to extend its moral, political and diplomatic support to the Kashmiris till they attain their cherished goal of freedom from India’s unlawful and forcible occupation.

Other APHC leaders including Farida Bahenji, Firdous Ahmed Shah, Muhammad Yousuf Naqash and Ghulam Nabi War in their statements issued in Srinagar said that Pakistan’s continued support to the Kashmir cause had always been a source of encouragement for the oppressed people of the occupied territory. They said Pakistan has always effectively highlighted at international level the Indian atrocities on the people of IIOJK.

Meanwhile, noted Kashmiri journalist, Fahad Shah, completed one year under illegal detention, today. Indian police had arrested him after calling him to a Police station in Pulwama for questioning on February 4, last year. He was arrested after he published the narrative of the families of some fake encounter victims which was in conflict with the Indian police version. He is currently lodged at Kot Bhalwal jail of Jammu.

An Indian soldier was critically injured in a landmine blast in Kerni area of Poonch district, today.

On the other hand, the APHC-AJK Convener, Mahmood Ahmed Saghar, and other leaders including Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, Sheikh Abdul Mateen and Imtiaz Wani in their statements in Islamabad maintained that the efforts and sacrifices of Pakistan for the redemption of the right to self-determination of the people of Jammu and Kashmir are unforgettable.

Speakers at a seminar organized at the Consulate General for Pakistan in Sydney, Australia, called upon the international community to force India to give the Kashmiris their right to self-determination as enshrined in the relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions. The speakers included Pakistan High Commissioner to Australia, Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri, Senator David Shoebridge, Senator Dr Mehreen Faruqi, former Senator and human rights activist Lee Rhiannon and President of the Australian Federation of Islamic Councils Dr Rateb Jneid.
