• Modi regime hell bent to uproot Muslims, change demography in IIOJK
• People hold forceful demonstrations against eviction drive
Srinagar, February 02 (KMS): Senior leader of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Ghulam Ahmed Gulzar, has deplored that Narendra Modi-led fascist Indian government is hell bent to uproot the Muslims and settle Hindu fanatics in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir to change the demography of the territory.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Ghulam Ahmed Gulzar in a statement issued in Srinagar said the Modi regime since abrogating the special status of IIOJK on August 05, 2019 is taking one step after another to snatch the identity, culture and land of Kashmiris and impose its Hindutva ideology on them. He condemned the occupation authorities for sealing the APHC head office and said that such actions will only solidify the resolve of freedom loving Kashmiris to carry on their freedom struggle. Ghulam Ahmed Gulzar thanked Pakistan for its unwavering support to the Kashmiris’ just struggle for securing their right to self-determination.
Meanwhile, the occupation authorities demolished a shopping complex of Hurriyat leader, Qazi Yasir, today, in south Kashmir’s Islamabad town. Pertinently, Modi government imposed administration in IIOJK has intensified the victimization of the people and organizations affiliated with the ongoing freedom movement. It is confiscating and demolishing their properties. Recently, the occupation authorities confiscated the APHC head office in Srinagar. Many properties belonging to Jamaat-e-Islami and its leaders have been attached while houses of many Hurriyat leaders and activists have been raised to ground in the last few weeks.
People continued to hold protest demonstrations in Batote, Jammu and Badgam areas of the occupied territory against the ongoing eviction drives by the authorities. The protesters said such anti-Kashmir and anti-people policies of the Modi regime have made the life of people miserable and rendered them homeless. They demanded immediate rollback of the eviction order.
On the other hand, posters appeared in Srinagar, Baramulla and other areas of the Kashmir Valley thanking Pakistan for its continued support to the Kashmiris’ freedom struggle. The posters read the message like “Go India go back” and “Kashmir baneyga Pakistan”.
British citizens including Members of Parliament, Andrew Gwynne and Tony Lloyd, on the eve of Kashmir Solidarity Day, the 5th February, raised their voices about the sufferings of the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir, saying that the Kashmiris are being killed on a daily basis. In their video messages, they maintained that the Kashmiri people have been robbed of their basic rights by India, which projects itself as the largest democracy of the world. They urged the world community to pressurize New Delhi to let the Kashmiris decide their future by themselves
