1. In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has denounced Indian judiciary for being in cahoots with the Modi regime in denying justice to Hurriyat leaders and activists languishing in Indian jails without any crime.
2. The APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said the thing like independent judiciary no longer exists in the present-day India. He said this while responding to the dismissal by a Delhi court of bail applications filed by senior APHC leader Nayeem Ahmad Khan and women leaders Aasiya Andrabi and Fehmeeda Sofi, yesterday. The spokesman said, Jammu and Kashmir is a disputed territory, and Hurriyat leaders are fighting for their political right, the right to self-determination, which is not a crime. The spokesman demanded immediate release of all jailed Hurriyat leaders and activists including Masarrat Alam Butt, Muhammad Yasin Malik and Shabbir Ahmad Shah.
3. Indian troops launched a cordon and search operation in Sopore town. The operation was launched on the pretext of recovery of an improvised explosive device, planted on the roadside in Tulibal area of the town.
4. A camp of Central Reserve Police Force and a barrack were damaged in a fire incident in Srinagar, today. Although, the cause of fire was not immediately known, police are investigating whether it is an inside job as CRPF soldiers who are often unhappy with the discriminatory treatment at the hands of their seniors have been found involved in such acts in the past.
5. Continuing with its settler colonial project, the IIOJK admin has allotted additional 20 kanals of land adjacent to 93 kanals of land already allocated at Zewan in Srinagar in the name of building transit accommodations for Pandit employees. However, such settlements are meant to provide quarters to Hindus brought from India to permanently live in the occupied territory with an aim to convert its Muslim majority status into a minority.
6. An APHC-AJK delegation headed by Convener Mehmood Ahmed Saghar held a meeting with OIC Assistant Secretary General, Yousef Aldoubeay, and briefed him on India’s anti-Kashmiris’ measures in IIOJK. The delegation also presented a memorandum to Yousef Aldoubeay who is also OIC Special Envoy on Kashmir.
