Srinagar, January 12 (KMS): Incarcerated senior leader of All Parties Hurriyat Conference leader, Nayeem Ahmed Khan, has urged the international community to take cognizance of Narendra Modi-led fascist Indian regime’s illegal actions in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, aimed at undermining the disputed status of territory.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Nayeem Ahmed Khan in a message from New Delhi’s infamous Tihar Jail said, Jammu and Kashmir is a UN-recognized dispute awaiting its resolution for the past over seven decades. He deplored the silence of the international community over deployment of more than one million Indian troops that has made the occupied territory the most militarized zone in the world. The APHC leader appealed to the UN to play its role in resolving the Kashmir dispute as per its resolutions.

Meanwhile, protest demonstrations were held in Srinagar and Jammu against the anti-people policies of the Indian authorities. Scores of transporters assembled at the Regional Transport Office in Srinagar and staged a protest demonstration in favour of their demands. The protest by teachers outside the BJP headquarters at Trikuta Nagar in Jammu continued on 24th consecutive day, today.

In London, the Kashmir dispute dominated a debate at Foreign Affairs Committee at the British Parliament with participants questioning the double standards of the western world on human rights. The debate on “Implementing the Integrated Review: Tilt to the Indo-Pacific” was attended by diplomats and other experts as well. Prominent Pakistani public policy expert and journalist Mosharraf Zaidi speaking on the occasion told the panelists that Jammu and Kashmir is a bleeding soar in South Asia. He said that Indian occupation of Kashmir is the cause of multiple problems.

On the other hand, Grand Mufti of Oman, Ahmed bin Hamd al-Khalili, has called upon the global community, international human rights groups and Organization of Islamic Cooperation to pay attention to the plight of Muslims in India. Al-Khalili, who has a significant following in the Islamic World, in a tweet said, the tragedy of Indian Muslims is taking place under the eyes of the entire world, but nobody moves a finger. Al-Khalili’s statement has drawn a lot of support from prominent people in the Muslim, particularly Arab world. KMS
