Modi exploiting G20 office for Hindutva agenda
• Indian troops continue CASOs in Jammu region

Srinagar, January 11 (KMS): The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has deplored that Modi-led fascist Indian regime is exploiting the G-20 presidency to advance its Hindutva agenda in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC leaders Ghulam Ahmad Gulzar, Molvi Bashir Ahmad Irfani and Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori in their statements issued in Srinagar said that India’s unilateral actions on August 05, 2019 opened a more brutal chapter in Kashmir’s tormented history. The regime, they said, has taken a number of steps including administrative, demographic and electoral to disempower and disenfranchise the Kashmri people. The leaders maintained that every Indian action, mimicking Israeli settler policies in occupied Palestine, is aimed at eroding culture, language and religious identity of Kashmiri Muslims. Having mentioned these facts, the leaders said that the G-20 meeting in the UN-designate disputed Jammu and Kashmir will be blatant violation of international law and norms while the move will also badly damage the image and credibility of G 20 member countries.

Meanwhile, Indian troops and paramilitary personnel continued their massive cordon and search operations in Jammu region, today. The forces’ personnel along with dreaded Village Defence Guards conducted house-to-house searches in Rajouri, Poonch, Kishtwar, Doda, Ramban, Jammu, Reasi and Kathua districts. It is worth mentioning here that the Muslims of the Jammu region are a particular target of inhuman treatment of the Indian forces’ personnel these days.

People took out a massive protest rally in Jammu city against the anti-people policies of the Indian authorities. The protesters were carrying oil lamps and ‘Kangris’ to depict the plight of the people under the Modi regime.

Peoples Democratic Party President Mehbooba Mufti, addressing a party meeting in Jammu said that the region, once considered as the economic hub of Jammu and Kashmir, is the worst victim of Bharatiya Janata Party’s political gimmick. She said, big corporate houses from across India have made deep penetration into the region, leading to massive unemployment.

On the other hand, three Indian troops including a Junior Commissioned Officer were killed after they slipped into a deep gorge during an operation in Machil area of Kupwara district, today. KMS
