• Over 50 youth arrested in dreaded CASOs in Rajouri
• India’s claims surrounding Article 370 abrogation fall flat

Srinagar, January 10 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian troops have arrested more than 50 innocent youth in the name of questioning in Rajouri district.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the arrests were made during the violent cordon and search operations jointly conducted by Indian army, police and Central Reserve Police Force in over two dozen villages in Rajouri district. Teams of the Special Operations Group of Indian police have been deployed at designated locations. Senior Superintendent of Police Rajouri confirmed to the media that the operation was going on at a massive scale.

Indian authorities have intensified restrictions in the name of security across the territory, particularly in Jammu region, weeks ahead of Indian Republic Day official celebrations. The personnel of Indian army, Border Security Force and police have been deployed in Jammu, Rajouri, Poonch, Kathua, Samba and Kishtwar districts. Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control and the world over observe the Indian Republic Day on January 26 as Black Day, every year.

The fascist Modi regime has attached another property, this time belongs to a jailed youth, Usman Gulzar Wani in Nagabal area of Shopian district. Usman was arrested in August 2022 and is currently lodged in Kot Bhalwal jail, Jammu.

Meanwhile, protests were held in Srinagar against growing scarcity of water, power shortage, inflation and unemployment in the territory. People including women and children hit the roads in Mehjoor Nagar area of Srinagar, and blocked traffic for hours. The protesters said they have no kerosene, no flour and no sugar at home.

Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Vice President, Omar Abdullah, talking to media persons in Islamabad district smashed the Modi regime’s argument, which he gave while revoking Jammu and Kashmir’s special status in August 2019 by saying that this would end armed struggle in the territory. Omar said the claim has fallen flat after the deployment of additional troops and the arming of Hindutva terrorists in the name of Village Defense Guards with weapons in Jammu region. The statement comes in the backdrop of the media reports that the Indian army is imparting military training to Village Defense Guards in Rajouri. So far, a group of at least 50 VDG terrorists has been given weapon training. KMS
