Migrant Kashmiri Pandit Employees Demand Relocation Outside IIOJK

• Modi’s approach has made Kashmir nuclear flashpoint
• Chances of India’s breakup high due to BJP’s policies

Srinagar, December 22 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, All Parties Hurriyat Conference leaders have said that Narendra Modi’s militaristic approach has made the Kashmir dispute a nuclear flashpoint putting the peace of entire South Asia at stake.

According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC leaders Ghulam Ahmad Gulzar, Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori, Bilal Siddiqi, Zamruda Habib, Yasmeen Raja, Farida Bahenji and Dr Musaib in their separate statements in Srinagar said Jammu and Kashmir is not a land or a law and order issue but it pertains to the right to self-determination of around 15 million people. The leaders warned that India’s obduracy can spark the nuclear fuse in the region if the United Nations fails to address the lingering Kashmir dispute in accordance with its Security Council resolutions and aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

The High Court of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir quashed detention orders passed against four Kashmiri youth under draconian law Public Safety Act and directed the authorities to release them as they have failed to justify their detention. These youth identified as Zubair Ahmad, Towseef Ahmad Mir, Jahangeer Ahmad Malik and Shabbir Ahmad Mir belong to different areas of the Kashmir valley. Legal experts have said that similarly the authorities have no proofs of any wrongdoing against the overwhelming majority of Hurriyat activists and youth languishing in jails.

Meanwhile, fed up with frequent blackmailing by the Indian authorities, Pandit employees held a protest demonstration outside the Press Club in Jammu and condemned Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha’s remarks about stopping their salaries if they failed to turn up for their duties in the Kashmir valley. Carrying placards against Manoj Sinha and Delhi government, the protesting employees asked the administration to relocate them outside the Kashmir valley or sack them, as they were no longer ready to be used as a victim card by the BJP government.

Senior APHC-AJK leader, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, in a statement in Islamabad urged the United Nations to form a special committee to probe the Modi-led Hindutva regime’s racist policies in occupied Kashmir.

Senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh addressing the media in Haryana predicted that the chances of India breaking up are very high as a result of the policies of the Bharatiya Janata Party government in India.
