Srinagar, May 05 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, All Parties Hurriyat Conference leaders and organizations paying glowing tributes to senior Hurriyat leader, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, on his second martyrdom anniversary, today, have reiterated the Kashmiris\u2019 resolve to accomplish the mission of their martyrs at all costs.<\/p>\n
According to Kashmir Media Service, senior APHC leader, Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai died in Indian police custody in Jammu on this day in 2021.<\/p>\n
APHC leaders and organizations including Abdul Ahad Parra, Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori, Zamruda Habib, Yasmeen Raja, Farida Bahenji, Syed Bashir Andrabi, Javed Ahmed Mir, Jameel Ahmad Mir, Dr Musaib, Chaudhry Shaheen Iqbal, Khadim Hussain, Syed Sibte Shabbir Qummi, Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Youth Forum, Islami Tanzeem-e-Azadi, and Jammu and Kashmir Pir Panjal Freedom Movement in their separate statements said the sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs like Ashraf Sehrai have centre-staged the Kashmir dispute at the international level. They said that the contribution and sacrifices of the martyred leader for the Kashmir cause will always be remembered. They urged the international community to impress upon India to stop its brutalities on the Kashmiris and give them their right to self-determination.<\/p>\n
The APHC-AJK chapter leaders including Mehmood Ahmed Saghar, Ghulam Muhammad Safi and Muhammad Farooq Rehmani addressing a function in Rawalpindi also paid homage to Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai. The function was organized by Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir AJK chapter at its office on the martyrdom anniversary of its former Chairman, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, posters with pictures of Pakistan\u2019s Army Chief, General Syed Asim Munir, appeared in occupied Kashmir praising him for reaffirming Pakistan\u2019s unflinching support to the Kashmiris\u2019 struggle for the right to self-determination. The posters were pasted by the Jammu and Kashmir Political Resistance Movement, Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Movement, Warseen-e-Shuhada and other organizations on walls, pillars and poles in Srinagar and other areas in the territory.<\/p>\n
People staged protests against the occupation authorities\u2019 decision to open wine shops in Baramulla and Doda districts. The protesters said, on one hand, the occupation authorities are saying that they are making efforts to eliminate the drug menace from society, while on the other, they are making the drugs easily accessible to youth by opening wine shops in the area.<\/p>\n
On the other hand, at least five Indian troops were killed and several others injured in a blast in Rajouri district, today. The blast occurred when the troops were conducting a cordon and search operation in Kesari area of the district. The occupation authorities have suspended mobile internet services in Rajouri to prevent people from getting and sharing information about the situation.
