1. Illegally detained All Parties Hurriyat Conference Chairman, Masarrat Alam Butt, has said that India with its intransigent attitude has been impeding the way for just resolution of the internationally-recognized Kashmir dispute for the last over seven decades.<\/p>\n
2. Masarrat Alam Butt in his message from New Delhi\u2019s infamous Tihar jail said the people of Kashmir have the right to seek the resolution of the Kashmir dispute as per their wishes and aspirations. He said, permanent peace will continue to elude South Asia till just settlement of this lingering dispute. The APHC Chairman said that Indian fascist Prime Minister Narendra Modi must remember that India\u2019s policy of repression in IIOJK is bound to fail. He added that the United Nations must take practical measures to implement its resolutions on Kashmir to save the Kashmiris from the Indian atrocities.<\/p>\n
3. Political activist, Engineer Nazir Yatoo, has started an indefinite hunger strike in Srinagar against the ongoing eviction drive launched by the authorities in the territory. The occupation authorities are carrying out the eviction-cum-demolition campaign in the name of anti-encroachment drive to grab the lands and properties of the Kashmiris, particularly Muslims, and hand them over to the Indian Hindus. The move is part of Modi regime\u2019s plans to change the demographic composition of the occupied territory.<\/p>\n
4. The occupation authorities kept senior APHC leader, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, under continued house arrest, today, and disallowed him to offer Juma prayers at Jamia Masjid, Srinagar. The Mirwaiz has been under house detention since August 05, 2019.<\/p>\n
