It said Narendra Modi-led racist Indian regime has intensified its state terrorism in the occupied territory to suppress the Kashmiris’ ongoing freedom movement. It urged the world community to hold India accountable for its brutalities on the Kashmiri people.

Meanwhile, the occupation authorities in a major crackdown on the assets of Jamaat-e-Islami and other pro-freedom people have intensified the drive to seize their properties in the territory. Nearly 250 assets of pro-freedom people and Jamaat-e-Islami in the occupied territory are under the radar for seizure. The assets include offices, homes, commercial and agricultural land, shops, and some moveable properties. The authorities have already seized a number of such assets. The action of seizing these properties is aimed at punishing these people and the Jamaat-e-Islami for their role in the freedom struggle.

The Peoples Democratic Party chief, Mehbooba Mufti, talking to media men in Srinagar said democracy has been suspended in the occupied territory. She said anyone who talks, whether he is a journalist or a common man, is arrested, while politicians are pressured through the Indian investigation agencies. Samad Inqilabi’s mother was aged and unwell for some time and she passed away at her residence, this morning. Samad Inqilabi, who is currently lodged at Varanasi Jail in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, also couldn’t participate in the funeral of his father in the past as he was in jail at that time too.

A Kashmiri driver was injured after he was mercilessly assaulted by Hindutva goons on the Srinagar-Jammu highway in Banihal area of Jammu region. He was shifted to a hospital for treatment.

On the other hand, the health ministry of Uzbekistan has said that at least 18 children in the country have died after taking an India-manufactured cough syrup. This is the second time in a year that India-manufactured cough syrups have come under the scanner.
