• G-20 summit in IIOJK meant to mislead world
• Indian agencies raid house in Islamabad
Srinagar, March 13 (KMS): Senior APHC leader Shabbir Ahmed Shah has said that India is conspiring to host the G-20 summit in Srinagar to give a false impression of normalcy in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, who is languishing in New Delhi’s Tihar jail, in a letter addressed to the UN and OIC Secretary Generals urged them to prevent India from going ahead with the proposed meeting in the internationally-recognised disputed territory. He said the move will also badly dent the credibility of the two international forums. Shabbir Ahmad Shah hoped that the UN and OIC will play their pivotal role in seeking the final settlement of the Kashmir dispute.
Other APHC leaders Khadim Hussain and Syed Sibte Shabbir Qummi in their statements issued in Srinagar termed as extremely absurd the statement of the New Delhi-imposed Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha, in which he called Jammu and Kashmir as an integral part of India. The leaders said that Indian rulers cannot change the UN-acknowledged disputed status of Jammu and Kashmir through their baseless statements.
Meanwhile, the Special Investigation Unit, today, attached a house of one Muhammad Ishaq Malik in Kokernag area of Islamabad district on the charge of being supporter of the freedom movement. New Delhi’s dreaded National Investigation Agency raided a residential house in Habbakadal area of Srinagar, harassed inmates and took away property documents, mobile phones and other valuables with them. Indian troops launched cordon and search operations in different areas of Islamabad, Pulwama and Kupwara districts.
Civil society activists of IIOJK including Dr Bashir Ahmed, Showket Ahmed, Farman Ghani Bhat, Zahoor Ahmed, Abdul Majeed, Muhammad Khalid, Abdul Raouf, Naseema, Dr Saira Mir and Dr Umar Rashid in a joint statement issued in Srinagar slammed the Modi regime for detentions, attaching of lands and properties, eviction and demolition drive and imposition of undue property tax in the territory.
On the other hand, scores of activists of J&K Congress, including its president Vikar Rasool Wani and Working President Raman Bhalla, were arrested during a march to the Governor House in Jammu, today, over the Modi regime’s anti-people policies in the territory.
