Indian troops martyr 21 Kashmiris in four months

Srinagar, May 01 (KMS): Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir continues to bleed for over seven decades as Indian troops in their unabated acts of state terrorism martyred 21 more Kashmiris, including three teenagers, in just the first four months of the year.
According to the data released by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service, today, at least 50 civilians were injured due to use of brute force by Indian army and police on defenseless people. During the period, the personnel of Indian Army, Police and dreaded National Investigation Agency arrested over 400 civilians, including Hurriyat leader, Bilal Ahmed Siddiqui and journalist Irfan Meraj. Many of them were booked under draconian laws Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and Public Safety Act. The forces conducted 860 cordon and search operations in the occupied territory. The troops martyred three Kashmiris and arrested at least 94 in the last month of April.
The All Parties Hurriyat Conference leadership has said that the recent speech by Pakistan Army Chief General Asim Munir at a passing out parade at Pakistan Military Academy, Kakul, is evident of the fact that people of Jammu and Kashmir are not alone in their struggle for right to self-determination. APHC leaders including illegally detained amalgam’s General Secretary Molvi Bashir Ahmad, Mir Shahid Saleem, Abdul Ahad Parra, Yasmeen Raja, Fareeda Behanji, Muhammad Saleem Zargar, Dr Musaib, Khadim Hussain, Syed Sibte Shabbir Qummi and Davinder Singh Behl in their statements said that the Army Chief’s unflinching and all-out support to the just freedom struggle is a great inspiration and morale boosting for the Kashmiri people. They hoped that Kashmiri people’s dream to be part of Pakistan would come true, one day.
Meanwhile, fully clad in Hindutva uniform, activists of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh took out a march in Reasi area of Jammu region to intimidate the Muslim minority in the town. The marchers paraded through different streets and bazaars and raised Hindu supremacist slogans.
The Indian government blocked 14 messenger mobile applications in IIOJK to strip common Kashmiris of the right to communicate with each other.
Dr Amy McMillan, Member of Parliament of Australia’s northeast state, Queensland, has raised the blatant rights violations by the Modi regime in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. In her speech at the parliament, she condemned “the violence as well as oppression that has unfolded in Kashmir for over many decades” and demanded withdrawal of around one million Indian occupation troops from IIOJK, restoration of Article 370 and release of all illegally detained journalists.
