COAS Asim Munir Reaffirms Pakistan’s Support to Kashmiris Struggle
• APHC leaders welcome PM Shehbaz’s statement on Kashmir
• India arms Hindu militia to terrorize Kashmiri Muslims
Srinagar, April 29 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has welcomed the statement of Pakistan Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif, in which he called for the resolution of the Kashmir dispute.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Shehbaz Sharif while addressing the Passing Out Parade at PAF Academy Asghar Khan in Risalpur, yesterday, maintained that peace in South Asia cannot be established without a just settlement of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the UN resolutions and the aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
The APHC leaders including Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori, Syed Bashir Andrabi, Khawaja Firdous, Zamruda Habib, Yasmeen Raja, Khadim Hussain, Syed Sibte Shabbir Qummi and Muhammad Aaqib in their statements issued in Srinagar and Jammu said the continued support of the people and government of Pakistan to the Kashmir cause has always been a source of encouragement for the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir. They appealed to the international community to play its role in resolving the lingering Kashmir dispute for ensuring permanent peace in the region.
APHC leader, Farida Bahenji, in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Narendra Modi-led fascist Indian government’s move to host the G-20 meeting in Srinagar was aimed at misleading the world community about the grim human rights situation of occupied Kashmir. She maintained that the G-20 countries should realize the nefarious intentions of the Modi regime and boycott the event.
On the other hand, India has armed and trained 5000 strong all-Hindu militia, Village Defence Guards, formerly known as Village Defence Committees, in the Jammu region to terrorize the local Muslims and to suppress the ongoing freedom movement. The members of the Indian Army-backed this dreaded militia have martyred hundreds of Muslims in the Jammu region in the past. This Hindu militia is in addition to the nearly one million Indian troops permanently stationed across IIOJK to suppress the Kashmiris’ struggle for securing their right to self-determination. More than 200 FIRs related to the cases of murder, rape, rioting and extortion already stand registered against the members of this militia in various districts.
Meanwhile, two Indian soldiers were killed, today, after an army vehicle skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge near Dungannon Nallah in Rajouri district of Jammu region.
