26 more Indian Border Police Posts coming up in IIOJK

· Modi regime can’t hide IIOJK ground situation by resorting to propaganda: APHC

· Mirwaiz remains under house arrest, again disallowed to offer Juma prayers

Srinagar, March 10 (KMS): The All Parties Hurriyat Conference leaders and organizations have said that Narendra Modi-led fascist Indian government cannot hide the reality about the deteriorating ground situation in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir by resorting to propaganda through its pliant media.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the APHC leaders and organizations including Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori, Syed Bashir Andrabi, Khawaja Firdous, Zamruda Habib, Farida Bahenji, Yasmeen Raja, Khadim Hussain, Sibte Shabbir Qummi, Muhammad Yasin Attai, Dr Musab, Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League and Democratic Freedom Party in their statements in Srinagar said since its unilateral and illegal actions of 5th August 2019, the Modi regime has turned the occupied territory into a military garrison to create an atmosphere of fear. They deplored that the international community’s criminal silence has emboldened India to continue crushing the Kashmiris’ voice for their right to self-determination with brute military force. They made it clear that lasting peace and prosperity in the region is not possible till the dispute over Kashmir is resolved as per the Kashmiris’ aspirations.

On the other hand, the Modi government has decided to set up more Border Police Posts in occupied Kashmir to further suppress the Kashmiris’ ongoing freedom movement. As per reports, these 26 Border Police Posts will be established in Kupwara, Baramulla and Bandipora districts of the occupied territory, which already is the most heavily militarized zone in the world.

The occupation authorities kept senior APHC leader, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, under continued house arrest, today, and disallowed him to offer Juma prayers at Jamia Masjid, Srinagar, for the 185th consecutive week. The Mirwaiz has been under continued house detention since August 05, 2019.

The President of IIOJK chapter of Indian National Congress, Vikar Rasool Wani, addressing a party function in Jammu said that the sufferings of the masses in the territory increased manifold due to anti-people policies of the Modi regime.

The High Court of occupied Jammu and Kashmir quashed the illegal detention of three youth booked under draconian law Public Safety Act. The court directed the authorities to immediately release the detainees.

A Muslim man, Naseeb Qureshi, was lynched to death by a Hindutva mob over the suspicion of carrying beef in Chhapra district of the Indian state of Bihar. Since the Narendra Modi-led Bharatiya Janata Party government took over the reins of India in 2014, such incidents of mob lynching of Muslims have been taking place every now and then. KMS
